I was born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa. Growing up, I was always fascinated with technology. One of my earliest tech memories is when my parents got me a wireless security camera for Christmas that I set up to record on an old TV's built-in VCR as a homemade "security" system.
My career journey began as a T1 Support Analyst, where I quickly advanced to the role of a T2 Service Desk Technician. Currently, I focus on delivering expert remote support and troubleshooting for Financial Institutions across diverse systems such as Windows Servers, Entra/M365, and VDI infrastructure encompassing Citrix and VMware Horizon. I manage critical responsibilities including the creation of Group Policies, Active Directory tasks, and proactive monitoring of server alerts.
In my free time, I passionately maintain a home lab where I host various self-hosted software and services (including this website!). When I'm not immersed in technology, I often explore nature on hikes or watch YouTube. These activities help me maintain a healthy work-life balance and refresh me for new challenges in the tech world.
